ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL (EDC)

To develop entrepreneurial zeal among the students on a continuous basis and prepare them to undertake independent technology development or self-employment during the course of their work life.

Innovation Growth Mentorship

Objectives

  • ED-Cell will be responsible for conducting various interventions and academic programs to impart knowledge, skill and attributes which will help in innovation, problem solving, technology development, project management, entrepreneurial motivation.
  • To provide supporting systems including laboratories, innovation kits etc.
  • To create Entrepreneurial culture in SVREC.
  • To conduct skill development training programmes leading to self employment.
  • To arrange visits to industries for prospective entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing Workshops and Lectures periodically to create awareness about entrepreneurship.
  • Functioning as a guide for students with creative ideas which can be transformed into successful companies.
  • Providing Mentorship through individuals for students launching their start-ups.
  • Organize events and competitions related to entrepreneurship.

Skill Development Cell

Dedicated to enhancing the employability and practical skills of students through comprehensive training programs and industry-relevant skill development initiatives.

Training Placement Industry Connect

Objectives

  • To help the Training and Placement Office in conducting and coordinating campus placement processes as well as training programs in the college.
  • To identify internship opportunities for students from various specializations

Responsibilities

  • To conduct placement tests for and on behalf of companies for recruitment.
  • To assemble the students for placement.
  • To assist in setting up laboratories for online recruitment tests.
  • To update TPO data on the college website from time to time.

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT CELL

The College has established a Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) in the college campus to empower girl students, to enhance understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for women students.

Empowerment Safety Support

With a view to taking up women's issues and problems, the cell aims at creating awareness of their rights and duties. It also provides a platform for women to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society and to suggest ways to improve and empower themselves.

Aiming at intellectual and social upliftment of the female students, the cell stands for facilitating women's empowerment through guest lectures, seminars, awareness programmes and other welfare activities.

  • 2 Members of Senior Faculty at least one of whom should be a female
  • 2 female Students nominated by Principal

Objectives

  • To provide and maintain a dignified, congenial working environment for women employees and students, where they can work, study and explore their potential to the fullest.
  • To address issues faced by women at workplace and to organize awareness generation programs and to take preventive steps towards protection of women staff / female students from sexual harassment in the college.
  • To provide opportunities and programs for female gender to be financially, mentally and emotionally empowered so as to promote their growth as individuals in their own rights.
  • To help women students understand their strength and potential.

Responsibilities

  • To organize workshops on issues affecting women in general.
  • To sensitize staff and students on gender equality on campuses.
  • To liaison with statutory bodies in case any such requirement arises.
  • To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender and to promote holistic way towards the betterment of the society.
