Computer & E-Learning Centre
The computer has become an indispensable tool for imparting education in all the branches of engineering. The place of a computer in modern education is not just limited to computer programming or browsing the World Wide Web or typing up assignments.
The college has 08 computer labs with an aggregate total of 410 computers in them. The computers in these 08 labs are periodically updated or replaced with the latest computers. With an annual computer hardware budget of more than Rs. 60,00000 lakh, providing the latest computing resources to the faculty and students is a top most priority for the college management.
Servers
The usefulness of a computer is significantly enhanced by it's connection to the network and Internet. The significant advantage of a networked computer is that it can use services provided by much more powerful computers called Servers. The college has a total 04 high-end servers from HP Computers. These servers provide data storage, internet access, e-mail and course management services to the campus community.
About E-Learning Centre
The SVR Engineering College has commissioned the E-Learning Centre in the Babbage Block at an estimated cost of Rs. 10 lakh. The centre has a seating capacity of 70 participants. Some of the salient features of the E-learning centre are:
- Multi-point presentation capability
- Integrated multimedia systems for audio and video presentations
- Video conferencing facility
- Availability UGC Learning Television Channels like Gyan Darshan
The E-learning centre is used for the following purposes at present:
- Training programs for staff
- Video conferencing
- Guest lectures from experts for staff and students
- Preview of recorded expert lectures from IITs
- Regular class work

Hostel Information for Students:
The College provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.The girl's hostels accommodate nearly 250 students and the boys hostel accommodates nearly 250 students. The Hostel facility is available for all students of all years. Strict discipline is followed in the hostels. The Hostels daily provide breakfast (with milk/coffee), lunch, snacks (with milk/tea) and dinner. There are separate Hostel committees for boys' hostel and girls' hostel headed by conveners, which monitors the running of the hostels.
- Hostel accommodation is provided to the students who get admission into B.Tech. / M.Tech /Diploma Courses subject to availability
- Rooms are subject to availability on a First come First service basis.
- The student has to occupy the room allotted to her/him. She should not change it without prior permission of the Warden of the hostels.
- The student has to bring her own bucket, mug and door lock and key.
- Only limited accommodation is available in the College hostels for Men. Admission to hostels will be made as per rules in vogue.
- Students admitted into hostels should always keep their identity card and shall show it whenever the hostel authorities.
- Students should stay in the rooms allotted to them by the Hostel authorities. Outsiders should not be entertained in the Hostels. Otherwise their admission into the hostels will be cancelled without prior notice.
- The Students shall maintain decency, decorum, hygiene in the dining hall and use water in bath rooms and latrines and not give any scope for contagious diseases.
- Students should vacate the hostels after theory examinations, after obtaining No-Dues certificate from the hostel authorities and shall produce identity cards.
- Ragging, eve-teasing, and individual attacks are strictly prohibited. Hostel authorities are not responsible for the criminal and other police disciplinary action taken

- Fleet of 20 buses
- Usage of Mobiles, Ear phones and any other Electronic gadgets for entertainment is strictly prohibited in buses.
- Bus users should carry College identity and Bus identity while travelling in the bus.
- Students should travel strictly according to their timings only.
- Students should maintain discipline in the college buses.
- If any student is having any problem he can register his complaint in the complaint book which is available at the Administrative Office

Sports Facilities At SVREC
SVREC believes in the all-round development of its students in all fields, and Sports are no exception. Our college teams have participated in various University, and inter-collegiate competitions such as volleyball, cricket, table tennis etc. Our college cricket team had actively taken part in tournaments with some of our players going on to represent the University at National level. The institute also organizes the "The Annual Athletic Meet" for students and its staff members in various sports such as cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, track events, carrom, chess, table tennis and shot-put etc. Our athletic teams have excelled in the recent university level tournaments winning medals in various events like Track events, relay etc. The college sports room is equipped with carrom boards, table tennis tables and chessboards.
College Canteen
The college has a spacious canteen facility in the college premises and is run by college management. A variety of South Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college at highly subsidized rates with highest quality.
The canteen has a big kitchen with a steam cooking facility and the kitchen staff takes extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen.
Food items are prepared with RO treated water. Canteen is open from 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM

Stationery Stores & RO Water Plant
All stationary items are made available in the stores at reasonable rates, fixed by the college management. It also provides light refreshment like packed snack items, cakes, veg. puff, beverages etc to the students and staff of the college.
The entire college is supplied with the RO treated water, at various locations, from two water plants of which one is located beside the Exam Section and the other located is located at MBA Block.
All the above facilities are supervised by the Student Amenities Committee of the college comprising the following members.
