The Department consists of fifteen laboratories and CAD lab with Internet facility of 15 Mbps bandwidth. The CAD lab is a central facility and caters to the computational needs of staff and students of the entire department. These all labs are a constant hub of activity.

Department has all labs to enhance practical ability in various machines, engines and also CAD packages to the students. The following are the laboratories which were established.

ENGINEERING WORKSHOP

This lab is helpful to the students to gain knowledge about the fundamental of different models in carpentry shop, fitting shop, welding shop, sheet metal shop, house wiring and foundry shop various techniques.

COMPTUER LAB

Computer Lab is equipped with 60 Intel Pentium dual core Systems with HP-ML-150G3 INTEL XEON latest configuration Server. This Lab is also having 1 LASER printer to facilitate the students to have the printouts. These Systems are having windows XP and other software are used in this lab are AUTO CAD, PRO-E, ANSYS this lab is targeted exclusively for the ME Students. These Systems have having windows XP .This lab is targeted exclusively for the all Students surfing the Internet

MATERIAL SCIENCE LAB

This lab is helpful to the students to gain knowledge about the Microstructures of various materials with heat treatment operations

MECHNICS OF SOLIDS LAB

This lab is helpful to the students to gain knowledge about the Strength and stiffness of the different metals in various experiments

MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY LAB

This lab is helpful to the students to gain knowledge about the fundamental operations of welding process and different mechanical process like bending blanking drawing and extrusion process in various techniques

HEAT TRANSFER LAB

This lab is helpful to the students to gain knowledge about the fundamental operations of heat treatment process and different conduction, convection and radiation processes in various techniques

THERMAL ENGINEEING LAB

This lab is helpful to the students to gain knowledge about the fundamental operations of simple 2 stroke and 4 Stroke Engines, heat balance sheet and Mohr’s test in different multi cylinder engines were analyzed and finally to calculating the BP,IP and FP of the prescribed engines.

METROLOGY & MACHINE TOOLS LAB

This lab is helpful to the students to gain knowledge about the fundamental of dimension by measuring tools and some mechanical (metal removal) operations in various machineries like Lathe, milling, drilling, shaping, slotting and grinding.
